A bit like Saint Nicholas (Santa). He was revered for his generosity as well as his benevolent, cheerful nature. He possessed what Tibetan Buddhists would call “crazy wisdom”. Given that he was fat at a time that only wealthy people were fat, and he obviously had none, no one understood where his wealth came from. The answer was of course that in his awakening, he had found the answer to true abundance and true prosperity.
